At the time of online education is a challenge especially in remote areas, an elementary school teacher at Kutch comes with innovative ideas to take school to the threshold of students by developing ‘e-bicycle schools’.
Solar bikes developed by Deepepbhai Mota, a teacher in the Bagh Hundrain area in Bagh Mandvi Taluka Village, Kutch District, who traveled to remote areas and run classes in open places using laptops and speakers.
E-bicycle was developed at a cost of around Rs 19,000 and used to power the laptop.
It can run without solar power and on the pedal.
The Serpentine Lanes from the Hundraibag area where he first began teaching using innovative e-bicycle loaded with bushes and leaves so it was difficult to go back and forth.
At the time of school witnessed thin participation because of fear of the possibility of the third wave of Covid-19, innovative concept of Deepeperbhai was a blessing in disguise, said Narendrasinh Jadeja, Principal, Hudraibag Elementary School, Wadi.
Deepeperbhai is also an innovator Shikshan Rath, the first cellular education school in the state, he added.
E-Bicycle has features such as charging points, battery indicators, cellular stands, USB connection facilities, headlights, among others.
For Shikshan Rath, Deepeperbhai has turned his car into a cellular school.
“Currently informal schools are widely accepted throughout the country.
Because Shikshan Rath cannot achieve everywhere, I have developed e-bicycle to ensure that children in remote areas do not lose education,” Deepepakhai said.
