New Delhi: The absorption of office space in this country fell 16% to 4.4 million sq ft in April-June quarter against the previous quarter because it was locked in almost all major cities because of the second wave of Covid.
However, the absorption of office space in Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru increased by 149%, 43% and 5%, from the January-march quarter, when the market was increasingly open from previous locking, the JLL report said.
According to the report, the decline in the absorption of office space in Chennai, Kolkata and Delhi NCR was clearer at 70%, 60%, and 43% to 0.1 million sq ft, 0.02 million sq ft, and 0.6 million sq ft.
Hyderabad is the worst player that almost no office space for rent.
