New Delhi: The duration of pregnant or other leave available by the Delhi government school guest teacher will not be taken into account when counting their workdays, according to official orders.
The Directorate of Education (DOE) said the clarification was issued in response to questions raised on various platforms regarding the calculation of working days for guest teachers working in Delhi government schools.

“If a guest teacher is in all kinds of official government tasks such as selecting assignments, BLO tasks, Covid tasks etc., then the days spent on the task will be included when counting the workers of the guest teachers,” he added.
The department further said that if a guest teacher was called for every official task by their principal during the summer and winter holidays, then those days will also be included in the work experience certificate.
