Noida: The High Court of Allahabad has directed the government up to produce a solution to appeal by residents to change rental properties to free themselves.
The government must respond on the next hearing date, namely in mid-October.
The court heard the petition submitted by the NCR Confederation of Welfare Residents (Confwa) on July 5 this year.
“We have appealed before the High Court to change the rental property to free in Noida.
Two hearings have occurred.
During the latest on September 14, the state government is looking for more time than the court,” said PS Jain, President Confwa.
According to Jain, the government lawyer told the court that the appeal by residents was under active consideration and searched for more time because policy decisions needed cabinet approval.
“Our advice objected to this, by saying that a month had been given to respondents in the previous trial.
The High Court then directed respondents to take the final decision in the period.
This clarified that further delays would not be accepted,” Jain said.
The demand for Freehold property in Noida has been delayed for more than 10 years.
Through a sustainable campaign, the federation of the Welfare Association of the Population Noida (Fonrwa) succeeded in obtaining the approval of the Noida Authority Board in 2018 and 2020.
But the problem was waiting with the government.
According to current settings, the old property in Noida is under 99 years of rent while they are relatively new to be rented for 90 years.
This is different from other districts.
“In, the freehold policy has been around since 1995.
It applies in all major cities.
Even some industrial authorities have allocated freehold land to developers.
The Council of Noida has agreed to the policy.
The state government must accelerate the decision too,” said Sushil Aggarwal, one Early settlers Noida and Fonrwa founding members.
