Gurgaon: To help the children who have lost single or both parents to Covid, the Punjab and Haryana high court through its Haryana state Legal Service Authority (HSLA) and district legal service authority (DLSAs) will start an initiative, Hope-Sangharsh Se Utkarsh Tak Hum Aapke Sath Hai.
The move is aimed at rehabilitating and protecting such kids with the help of NGOs and other agencies.
Justice Rajan Gupta, HC judge and HSLA executive chairman launched a series of projects to create awareness among the general public on the rights of children who have lost their parents to Covid.
Justice Gupta said such children need the society’s special attention.
“Their protection and rehabilitation are one of the major issues right now.
This project will ensure the rights and benefits of children who are left alone or with a single surviving parent are taken care of,” said Gupta.
