Aizawl: Mizoram Health Department official said 34 of 54 members of the Myanmar legislator who took refuge in Mizoram after the February Military Coup, infected with Covid-19.
Myanmar’s legislator and their family members were submitted at an indoor stadium in South Aizawl separately from other refugees.
There are at least 24 legislators chosen in Myanmar’s general election in 2020 which escaped from the country and took refuge in Mizoram with several of them living with their relatives in Aizawl and elsewhere, while more than 10 legislators and families were submitted at the stadium.
Refugees, who nested in a help camp in Sihphir Village, about 15 km north of Aizawl, also infected with Covid-19 because 56 people felt positive after the test.
