New Delhi: PC markets around the world continue to grow until the second quarter of 2021, despite facing chip shortages.
According to the latest report by IDC research companies, the market was sent a total of 83.6 million units which grew 13.2% YoY.
“The Heat Streak of the PC Market continues to encourage heavy investment in the supply side including the entry of new vendors and additional expenditures from underdogs”, adding reports.
As per IDC, Lenovo led the PC market followed by HP, Dell, Apple and Acer.
According to the data distributed by IDC, Lenovo managed to maintain its superiority from Q1, 2021 and captured market share of 23.6%.
The second in the list is HP, the company is sent a total of 18.5 million units and captures a market share of 22.2%.
Dell captured the third place in the list when sending 14 million units and recorded the growth of 16.4% of Apple and Acer each capture the third and fourth slot.
Apple has a market share of 7.6% while Acer maintains a market share of 7.0%.
“With a business that opens backup, potential demand in the commercial segment looks promising.
However, there are also early indicators of consumer demand that slows down when people shift priority expenditures after almost a year purchase of an aggressive PC,” Report Added.
