Udupi: The forestry department personnel have saved a five-month-old male Leopard child from the water supply page in Japti, Kundapur, on Saturday.
RFO Prabhakar Kulal said that Kundapur City City Council staff watched the Cub movement, and notified the Ministry of Forestry, in the afternoon on Friday.
The forestry department rushes to the place and places a cage to trap children.
Kulal said that there were two children in the area, surrounded by houses.
Someone has fled, while trapped at home, has been released into the nearest forest, the officer said.
Senior forest officers, including DCF Ashish Reddy, are part of the operation.
