Udhagamandalam: A pet dog was found dead by leopards in Elkhill in Banhandishola near the coonor on Tuesday.
“The dog was found dead on the roadside,” said a local resident.
However, Sasikumar, the forest range officer said, “We checked CCTV camera footage in the area.
We did not find any signs of animal movements.” He added, “We did not find a trace of PUG marks in certain regions.” The dog was found with an injury to his stomach and neck but did not bite the sign, said Sasikumar.
The municipality took the animal wreck.
The Ministry of Forestry has formed a team to monitor the area for every animal movement.
