Leopard ‘Rogue’ wounds five days in Amreli

Rajkot: Leopard ‘Rogue’ gave a night without sleep to forest officials with at least five attacks in humans in a few days in the Chalala area of ​​Amreli Regency.
The Ministry of Forestry has established more than half a dozen cages to capture leopards that have targeted people who sleep outside their homes in villages that fall under the Gir Forest Division (East).
On Wednesday night, Leopard attacked the 50-year-old man Dashrath Padvi when he slept in an open warehouse on his farm in Chalala Village.
Padvi suffered an injury to the head and bruises in other parts of his body.
Chalala Village falls under the range of sarasiya gearment area.
22-year-old woman Ramkayna Vasava and a 10-year-old Poonam Bhuriya girl was attacked on July 13 in the village of Moti Garamali from Chalala Taluka.
The village falls in the income area on the edge of the forest.
Vasava and Bhuriya are also sleeping in an open warehouse on a farm.
On July 10, two other women – Sangeeta Thakar (30) and Nayna Mall (35) – attacked by leopards in Chalala village when they slept in open.
Both suffered injuries, but Nayna had to be shifted to the Rajkot civil hospital for further treatment.
Forest officials believe that one leopard is involved in a series of attacks on humans over the past five days.
Deputy Gir (East) Forest Conservator (Timur) Anshuman said, “We have established seven cages so far and will put four more to capture leopards.
This is a sowing season because there are more vehicle movements and people.
