Wardha: Leopard for one and a half year old woman was saved by successfully posting a 6-hour operation by the district wildlife department, along with other authorities, from the drainage of the Sawangi Hospital (MEGHE) on Monday.
Leopard shifted to the Karunashram Rescue Center at NGO wildlife ‘for animals’ for medical observations, officials said.
Leopard will be observed for 24 hours after it will be released into the forest after the official process, said Range Forest Officer (RFO) Rupesh Khedkar.

Six hours later, they succeeded.

After the drainage was closed from both parties, the rescue team used the JCB machine to solve it and remove the leopard.
“Because there is a risk of injury to the leopard, we do it very carefully and therefore, the operation takes a long time,” Khedkar said.
AVBRH Medical Inspector Chandrakant Mahakalkar said, “We provide oxygen to avoid physical damage to the leopard, because of unconsciousness after injection.
