Nagpur: Leopard seen in the Ordnance area (from) the area a few days ago seemed to be the same as the image was arrested in the camera trap in Ambazari last month.
While the location of Leopard is currently unknown, believing forest officials may have left the ground and walk back to Ambazari or Gorewada.
Bharat Hada, Deputy Forest Conservator (Nagpur) said they compared Pugmark found in people in Ambazari.
“The pugmark is almost similar.
This comparison is not 100% accurate because it I can’t say that it belongs to the same leopard, but it seems very similar,” Haga said.
Forest officials monitor the area constantly but so far no confirmation of the Leopard movement in the zone has been reported.
Hada said “the land is spacious, maybe about a thousand hectares.
There is an uninhabited part and maybe that’s where leopard must visit.
We feel it might have returned to the forest, but is waiting for confirmation.” Another theory is that this special leopard can be able to Regularly visiting uninhabited parts that might pass through areas that are common.
The leopard report seen in the It’s Park has placed the city with a high warning, but Hada said there was no evidence to connect leopards.
“In the city of Nagpur, we never found Pugmark.
So, there is no way to confirm whether this is the same big cat,” said Hada.
Also, the reason for this repeat movement outside Ambazari did not know.
Hada said, “There is a pretty prey base in Ambazari and more than one leopard can be there.”
