New Delhi: Capital records less than 1,000 Covid cases for the second consecutive day on Saturday.
In the last 24 hours, the health bulletin issued by the State Health Department declared 920 people tested positive for infection by the Coronavirus novel.
Before this, on Friday, the city has recorded 977 new cases.
On Saturday, 920 patients tested positively from 55,865 tests in the last 24 hours.
The level of participation reaches 1.68%.
Covid-19’s front level, which has touched 30.6% when the third wave is at its peak, it has been below 5% in the capital for the last 11 days.
Public health experts say if the trend continues for several more days, it can safely assume that the third wave ends in the capital.
However, they emphasized the need to continue to follow the appropriate behavior of Covid, which includes wearing masks in public places, in addition to ensuring that 100% adult population is fully vaccinated.
Delhi reported the first Covid-19 case in March 2020.
Last year, in April-May, the city witnessed a massive second wave.
The third wave began to peak early this year and on January 13, Delhi recorded the highest daily calculation of 28,867 cases.
The level of participant rose to 30.6% on January 14, the highest during the ongoing pandemic wave.
Together, the three waves of Covid pandemics have claimed 26,060 lives in the capital.
This includes 13 new fatality recorded on Saturday.
Officials said that the total calculation of people affected by viral infections had passed 18.50 lakh.
The health bulletin distributed by the State Health Department showed that there were 4,331 active cases of Covid-19 in the city today, where 589 was received in various hospitals.
However, the overall murrency of the bed provided for Covid patients remains very low.
According to a health bulletin, there are 15,375 hospital beds provided for Covid patients, which are only 589 (4%) occupied today.
