Ajmer: The city will get pipe water three days a week because the Bisalpur dam has received fewer inflows because of poor monsoons in the catchment area.
The issuance of supply, which starts from Sunday, will also affect rural areas.
According to officials, Ajmer will receive 275 MB of water, down from 305 to 310 the previous month.
Phed has prepared a plan so that there is no scarcity of water in any area.
Officials say that 282 zones in the city used to get water every two days will now get supplies every three days.
In cities like Kishangarh and Beawar too, there will be supplies every three days.
Rural districts will face more deductions and will get water every 80 to 85 hours.
The source says with a lack of supply, the demand for water tankers will rise.
Bisalpur Dams receive more than 310 meters of water and with rain in the last 72 hours in Bhilwara, Ajmer and Tonk, there is hope that more water will reach the reservoir.
