Ludhiana: By Monday, the newest timings of shutting stores by 1pm and meals home delivery until 8pm will come in to effect. Some dealers are delighted with the comfort in limitations. But other people, especially traders institutions representing Old City markets, have been demanding that stores be permitted to stay open until 5pm, however they will protest outside of homes of judgment party leaders.Bhupinder Basant, senior vice-chairman of Punjab Dealers’ Board, stated,”We’re thankful that our requirement of extending working hours in 12pm to 1pm and enabling restaurants, and food outletsand cafes to give home delivery until 8pm was accepted. The one-hour extension can help shopkeepers hugely, since footfall is very likely to be registered article 11am until 1pm. Previously, traders have been suffering enormous losses as clients do not go shopping so ancient. Food companies, also, have been spared from shutting down indefinitely.” Some businessmen are now seeking more relaxations that will assist them to tide over fiscal crisis.Sunil Mehra, state general secretary of Punjab Pradesh Beopar Mandal, stated,”We grateful for its one-hour relief. However this won’t help much. The government should correct the store closing period to 5pm as with other areas of Punjab. As our demands haven’t been fulfilled, we’ve opted to protest out the homes of ruling party MLAs, MP and cabinet minister. We’ll talk about it at the rest of our body Monday.”
