New Delhi: President of RAM Nath Kovind on Saturday greeted residents on the night of Raksha Bandhan and said that everyone had to dedicate themselves to ensure women’s safety by increasing their participation in the nation’s development.
Raksha Bandhan’s festival is a symbol of love, affection and trust between brothers and sisters, he said.
“The festival strengthens the spirit of harmony and brotherhood in our society.
On this particular occasion, we must dedicate ourselves to ensure women’s safety by increasing their participation in the nation’s development,” Kovind said.
“On this occasion, let’s finish contributing to building a harmonious society where the security and dignity of women are given is very important and they can fulfill their aspirations without obstacles,” The President was quoted as saying in a statement issued by Rashtrapati Bhavan.
