Let’s go back, Afghan students make a JNU’s request

New Delhi: Conflict in Afghanistan has left many students from the country studying in Delhi who need help.
At the University of Jawaharlal Nehru, such students have been asked to be allowed to enter the closed campus, a request that is also taken with university administration by the United States.
In a round released on Saturday, the JNU Ravikesh registrar said, “Some JNU Afghanistan students have asked administrators to facilitate their return to campus.
When the university remains closed as directed by DDMA, the NCT government from Delhi, this problem is being seen.” Students Women who have received the entrance ticket in 2020 and take online classes want to come to Delhi to continue their studies.
They want documents for their visas processed.
A Sociology Master student in Kabul completed the first semester online after receiving a ticket in 2020.
He had sent the dean of his center but had not received a response.
“The situation in Kabul is very frightening,” he told Toi.
“My family wants me to go to Delhi because it is not safe here again, especially for girls.” He hopes that JNU will send him the documents needed for the visa.
Online class is not possible now.
“The Taliban cuts the power line and seizes our electricity.
It’s the same as the internet,” he said.
Jnusu has also taken problems.
In a letter to VC M Jagadesh Kumar, Uni said, “While other universities in Delhi have given students in a similar state, permits needed for student visas, JNU has not provided the support needed to students from Afghanistan.
We ask you to give to students Regarding documents and permits needed for their visa along with hostel accommodation with urgent basis.
