Letter: A 39-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly raping a four-year-old girl in the Sachin Gidc area on Tuesday.
Ajai who was accused of alias Hanuman Nishad Kevat, was returned to police custody for six days by a local court here on Wednesday.
Kevat, the native of Uttar Pradesh, allegedly kidnapped the girl when she played near her house on Tuesday afternoon.
He took him to a remote place and allegedly raped him.
Police said that Kevat was the father of three children – two daughters (aged 17 and 11) and a 14-year-old son.
He and his family live in the Sachin Gidc area.
He recently lost his job, police said.
“I have ordered the police to send a chargesheet in 10 days,” said Ajay Tomar, Commissioner of the City Police.
