Letter: A 24-year-old priest was arrested for allegedly killing his 55-year-old mother in sleep in Damka Village near Hazira on the outskirts of the city.
The police arrested Karan Joshi (24) who was allegedly strangling his mother Geeta and then stabbed him several times in the stomach.
According to the police, Joshi initially did not share details, but as long as he asked Cross, he claimed to commit a crime.
Complaints submitted by Joshi Vasant Joshi’s father with the Ichhapore police station.
Police said that the duo of the fathers did various rituals at their client’s residence in Damka Village and neighboring villages.
Vasant accused that his son was not serious about work or marriage.
He always wants with his friends and spends a lot of money for them.
His parents gradually stopped giving him money and forced him to get married.
Joshi’s parents used him to scold him on the habit of roaming with friends for hours and it had caused a fight.
Neighbors confirmed to the police that the heated argument was common among family members.
On Monday morning, Joshi argued with his parents before leaving home.
When Joshi returned at 9pm, his mother refused to open the door.
After a 15-minute argument, Geeta allows Joshi inside.
Then Geeta went to bed in the bedroom while Vasant was sleeping in another room.
While Geta fell asleep, Joshi strangled him and also stabbed him several times.
“Joshi was present at home when the police arrived.
Based on Vasant’s statement, we arrested Joshi,” said a police officer.
