Letter: Offline teaching starts in a number of city schools for class IX-XI under Covid-19 guidelines with a capacity of 50% from Monday.
The source said that around 75% of students who had submitted their parents’ approval letters attended classes in schools run by Secondary Gujarat and Secondary Education Council (GSHSEB).
The students were strictly told to comply with Covid-19 guidelines such as wearing facial masks, cleaning hands and maintaining social distance.
“I enjoyed the meeting of classmates in the class after almost a year.
Attended the offline class after a long time fantastic,” said Dakshash Ambalaiya, class XI students (trade) from Asheadep School.
“Many schools start teaching offline in city guidelines and Covid-19 are being strictly followed.
Our team visited several schools and the authorities there had been ordered to comply with the rules,” said H Rajyaguru, district education officers, letters.
Some Gshseb schools have not started offline classes except class XII because of the exam.
“We will start teaching offline from Tuesday,” said Anisha Mahida, Vanita Vishram’s headmaster.
The majority of the School of the Central Secondary Education Board (CBSE) is likely to start offline teaching for class IX, X and XI from August 1 “Teaching in most CBSE schools will start next month,” said Deepak Rajyaguru, Chairperson, Self-Financing School Management Association Finance.
