Letter, Udhna station to rebuild as ‘railpolis’

Letter: If things running as planned, letters and Udhna train stations will be rebuilt into ‘railpolis’ – mini-smart city – where residents can live, work, play and rise.
The deck seems to have been cleaned for an ambitious rebuilding project as a train station Indian Corporation Ltd (IRSDC) has invited qualifying requests (RFQ) for transformation of two train stations.
According to IRSDC, a developing mail train station will have a central path and concourse to help passengers run smoothly between the train station and Gujarat State Transport Bus Station (GSRTC), city bus terminals, the proposed Metro train station and other regions.
The UDHA train station will also be developed with better connectivity and a different poncuring for departing passengers and arriving.
The returning mail station will also subside congestion in the existing place because it will balance the use of areas on the east and west side and also increase economic activities.
The new station will be rebuilt to handle an increase in the number of passengers, which is likely to multiply in the coming years.
“Stations will be rebuilt in a line with global standards to change it on par with international airports and provide world-class facilities to travelers.
Letter train stations are considered to be developed into multi-capital transportation hubs (MMTH), thus providing a free travel experience hassle and comfortable for passengers, “said SK Lohia, MD and CEO, IRSDC.
The letter station will be mmth like the Indian train, GSRTC and Municipal Corporation letter comes together to make their land for the RS 1.285 Crore project.
IRSDC will rebuild the station on behalf of the Special Objective Vehicle – Surat Integrated Transportation Development Corporation Limited (SITCO) – Joint venture of the IRSDC, GSRTC and SMC.
