Kolhapur: The Kolhapur District Weekly Keposititist level has jumped to 18% while the occupancy rate of oxygen beds rose by 77.81%, forcing Daulat Desai Regency collectors to continue with the Level 4 Covid limit for the fourth week in a row from Monday.
In accordance with the Level 4 Covid limit, only important shops are allowed to open until 4pm on weekdays while there is a complete lock on weekends.
Meanwhile, traders from the city of Kolhapur have decided to oppose Desai’s orders and will open insignificant shops from Monday.
The decision in this case was taken during a representative meeting of all trade associations of the city of Kolhapur held at the Office of the Chamber of Commerce and the Kolhapur Industry on Sunday afternoon.
Traders look angry by changes in the state government to decide on the level of participation.
Previous participants were installed regardless of the type of test carried out – RT-PCR and fast antigen test.
Hoping that the level of participants will fall if the test increases, district administration increases antigen tests up to 30,000 per day.
And it brings a test rate under 10% of district qualifications to be at the level of 3 covid restrictions where stores that are not important are allowed to open.
Sanjay Sheete, President KCCI, said, “by previous criteria, the district qualified for limitation level 3.
We have a store closed for the past three months and will not be closed for one more day.
Therefore, we unanimously decided to oppose orders and open Stores at 7 am on Monday.
“Traders claim that the government assures them to reduce the level of front and occupancy of oxygen beds in accordance with Level 3.
Meanwhile, Kolhapur Regency on Sunday reported 1,637 fresh cases and 33 Covid deaths.
A total of 1,350 covid patients were discarded after recovering.
Satara Regency recorded 977 fresh cases and 15 patients died of Covid on Sunday.
In the Sangli district, 907 was tested positively and 17 patients gave up on Covid on Sunday.
