Rajkot: New initiative of Rajkot from inclusivity and the development of the skills of the Third Gender Community Marginal has been a matter of class discussion for managers-to-be in the Holy Hall Iim Bangalore.
The Prestiquious Management Institute has published an article that values the success story and strives by the Rajkot Regency Government to provide livelihoods to members of the LGBT community, which has been pinned as a case study on its portal.
Rajkot is one of 30 districts in India chosen by the central government to present a plan to develop national skills.
Three Gujarat District – Rajkot, Patan and Surendranagar – were chosen based on this plan.
Rajkot has prepared a plan for developing the LGBT community inclusive skills selected by the central government.
The state government also acknowledged this effort and wanted to apply this model in all Gujarat Regency.
The Iimb article stated, “Community members themselves are not aware of their rights, they live in less developed bags, cutting the mainstream community, restoring to beg and have sex.” Further said, “During the pandemic and locking their livelihoods are very affected, encouraging them into poverty.” Hiralchandra Maru, who is responsible for this project which also wrote articles for Iimb said, “This project is not possible without the support of Lakshya Trust and a positive approach to the Rajkot Regional Government.” As part of the project on the development of marginalized skills, the Rajkot Regency Government has conversed with members of the LGBT community to understand the challenges and struggles of their daily lives.
At the end of several interactive sessions, officials can choose and convince 15 people from this community to take skills development training.

The committee then contacted prospective employers to understand their requirements and prepared a short course based on it.
In September and October, 11 candidates participated in training of course at the computer concept (CCC) and was awarded the certificate of settlement on October 30 after that, all received placements.
Rajkot collector, Arun Mahesh Babu said, “Iim-Bangalore has taken our efforts as a case study.
They have acknowledged the work that has occurred here.

“The skill committee of the Rakot Regency received awards from the AIDS control community of Gujarat countries because they were a pioneer to bring LGBT community members into the mainstream.

Previously, people were shunned or even hated us – maybe not everything was lost, but we felt that Rajkot accepted us as us And it has begun to give us the opportunity to live a equal and dignified life.
