Gurgaon: The city tends to watch light shower for the next few days due to western disruption.
While the intensity of rain will peak on Wednesday and Saturday, a cloudy and drizzle sky is expected to continue until January 9.
The IMD has issued a yellow warning for Wednesday and forecasting a light storm and rain in South Haryana, which includes Gurgaon too.
On Tuesday, the minimum temperature is recorded at 8.1- two levels above normal – and is expected to remain so in the coming days.
The maximum temperature is completed at 21.8 degrees Celsius.
“We expect mild intensity rain into several parts of Haryana, including Gurgaon, because of the active western disorder in the region.
From Tuesday night to Thursday morning, there is a possibility of rain and after other Western disturbances approaching on January 7, which will also bring rain on Saturdays .
Because the weather was cloudy and rainy, daytime temperatures are expected to drop significantly on Wednesday, while the minimum temperature will see a slight increase, “said Manmohan Singh, Director of IMD Chandigarh.
According to the Weekly Estimated IMD, the minimum temperature is likely to touch 10 degrees Celsius on Wednesday and the maximum temperature is expected to fall to 15 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, residents continue to breathe rotten air with the air quality index (AQI) left in the ‘very poor’ category for the fifth day in a row.
The overall AQI reading is at 353, compared to 355 on Monday.
According to IMD officials, some improvements at the AQI level are expected in the coming days due to rain and good local surface winds.
“Rain and increased wind speed will help in the spread of pollutant accumulation and we expect some increase in AQI levels in the next few days,” said IMD officials.
The capital air quality index (AQI), meanwhile, remains in the very poor category and is likely to increase for the ‘poor’ category in January 6.
The minimum temperature is recorded at 8.5 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal, on Tuesday .
The maximum temperature remains at 23.2 degrees Celsius, four notches above normal.
