Lightning & Floods claim three lives in North Maharashtra

Nashik: The North Maharashtra region, especially the Nashik district, Dhule and Jalgaon, was beaten by heavy rain and storm on Tuesday and there were more rainfall in the store on Wednesday.
Three people have died in incidents related to different rain.
Heavy rain encouraged the Authority of the Department of Water Resources (WRD) to begin removing water from the gangapur dam in the Nashik district for the third time in less than a month.
Water was released at the level of 3,452 cubic feet per second (cusec) from 10 am on Tuesday after the dam was filled with full.
Jalgaon Resident Deputy Collector Rahul Patil said that Sonali Barela, 14 years old, from Vitner Village in Jalgaon Taluka was killed on Monday, when he was shocked by lightning.
Another woman, Murkhi Waghela (26), village residents of Vivre from Raver Taluka, were also killed on Monday because of lightning.
Four children who accompanied him were injured and his condition was stable.
Patil said that the Chalisgaon area had witnessed heavy rain for the fourth time in a month, which led to flooding Tada and the Dongri River.
WRD officials opened the gate of the Waghur dam for the first time this season.
A 32-year-old man, Nilesh Pardeshi, Kalamdari resident in Nandgaon Taluka was swept away while trying to cross the Panzan River, which was at the Spate on Tuesday morning.
His body was found on neighboring farming, said Nashik RDC Bhagwat Doifode.
The city of Nashik and the parts of the district received 30mm rainfall on average between midnight and Tuesday forneon.
Doifode said Surgana, Yeola and Nandgaon Talukas worst due to heavy rain.
There were no reports of any village that was cut off due to heavy rainfall.
Traffic on the road connecting Nandgaon and Chalisgaon was stopped after the water overflowed near Bothhan village in Nandgaon Taluka.
Also, traffic between Malegaon and ChalGgaon were partly affected by the path of approach to one of the bridges was partially washed away.
The Indian Meteorology Department has warned heavy rain in the region on Wednesday.
It has been heard orange warnings (very heavy rainfall) for Dhule, Nandurbar and Nashik District.
Yellow warning (heavy rain) has been announced for Jalgaon and Ahmednagar districts.
The administration of each district has been heard alert to people who live on the banks of the river and in the lowland area considering the commemoration of the department met about heavy rainfall.
Jalgaon District witnessed an average rainfall of 41 mm in 24 hours to 8:30 a.m.
on Tuesday and Dhule received an average rainfall of 21 mm until 5:30 a.m.
since Monday night.
