Lucknow: A total of 30 people were killed in various parts of the country after lightning hit them in several districts on Sundays.
According to reports, 14 people died in Prayagraj, five in Kanpur Dehat, three of each in Firozabad and Kaushambi and two of them in Unnao and Chitrakoot after lightning hit them.
Taking aware of the incident, CM Yogi Adityanath stated sadness and asked the district government to provide adequate compensation to the family-hit by the tragedy.
In Kaushambi, the deceased has been identified as Rukma (12), Moorat Dhwaj (50) Ramchandra (32) and Mayak Singh (15).
In Firozabad, Hemraj (50) and Ramsevak (40) stood under the Neem tree when they were beaten by lightning and was killed in place.
Amar Singh (60) from the Shikohabad area was also killed by lightning.
Likewise, the incident of sinking people reported from Ghazipur, Firozabad and Ballia.
