Lightning strike killed 49 above, Rajasthan

Lucknow / Jaipur / City: A total of 49 people were killed in various parts of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan after lightning hit them on Sunday.
According to reports, lightning strikes killed 30 people above, including 14 in Prayagraj, five in Kanpur Dehat, four in Kaushambi, three in Firozabad and each in Unnoo and Chitrakoot.
Lightning strikes also claimed at least 19 lives in Rajasthan, including 11 in Jaipur, and at least 17 people were injured throughout the state on Sunday when Southwest Monsoon entered Jaipur, Dholpur, City and Jhalawar.
Taking aware of the incident, CM Yogi Adityanath expressed his sadness and asked the district government to provide adequate compensation to the tragedy to hit the family.

In Rajasthan, at least 11 people were killed and 12 others were injured near the Amber fortress when lightning hit them on Sunday night.

In the Bari Dholpur area, three children were killed after lightning hit.
A 23-year-old shepherd was also killed when lightning hit him when he grazed in Laligaun in the Jhalawan district in Rajasthan.
