Nagpur: The PAN Association of Maharashtra School Trusts has written to the Minister of Education Varsha Gaikwad and demanded that the concentrated acceptance procedure for STD XI was thrown away like thousands of seats remained empty.
The direct reason for the letter being written now is that the State Department of Education has canceled the stamp for Aurangabad.
Maharashtra Rajya Shikshan SanStha Mahamandal (MRSSM) feels it must be implemented in Nagpur too.
Ravindra Fadnavis, MRSSM executive member, said that having a hat for Nagpur does not make sense.
“On average, around 17,000 XI std seats remain empty every year, so it is very clear that we have excessive chair supply.
Now, the lid is logically used when there is a shortage of seats.
The college wants it only the top academic students get reception.
So, The whole process is closed, mobilizing so much labor and spending money on the system, it is not needed, “said Fadnivis.
He added that even though the Ministry of Education did not get details why Aurangabad’s hat was canceled, the reason he claimed was ‘clear’.
“The Ministry of Education at the local level sent recommendations to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which was approved.
But it is a strong local political leadership that lobbies with the district education department.
The decision is practical but even for that you need strong political support,” Fadnivis said.
Another problem that has been appointed MRSSM is about the CET proposed for STD XI.
“The Ministry of Education plans to conduct CET on August 21.
How many hoops have to do students to jump to apply to enter college? Even though CET is not mandatory, it has been clarified that the students will be given priority in reception.
So, now we are literally Forcing students to appear for a cet based on where they will then go through a hat and then secure the entrance ticket at a college where the chair remains empty.
This goes beyond logic.
Therefore, we really feel that the hat must be removed, “Fadnivis added.
