New Delhi: In front of the upcoming festival at Maharashtra, the Center has suggested the state to consider imposing local restrictions on this festival and mass meeting to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
In a letter to the Secretary of the Maharashtra Chief, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said that even though the trajectory of new cases had shown a decline in the past month, there were several districts in Maharashtra which showed the initial signs of the increase in Covid-19 cases and testicitivity testing The Health Secretary said the instructions were issued under the Disaster Management Law, 2005 by the Ministry of the Houses for Focused Detention Actions.
