Liquor worth RS 13L towards A’bad seized

Vadodara: Branch of Local Crime Rural Police Vadodara Seizes Indian foreign liquor worth Rs 12.9 lakh transported to Ahmedabad under the Garb medical equipment on Tuesday morning.
The police said that they had received information about trucks carrying liquor, based on what they watched near Toll Plaza in Karjan at the National Highway-48.
When stopping the container truck, the driver of Rajeshkumar Jatan produces bills and medical equipment documents.
But when the police were looking for a container, they found 5,160 bottle of illegal liquor packed in 286 boxes.
The driver then told the police that the stock of liquor was sent from Maharashtra’s Bhiwandi by Vikas Sharma and Sunil Kumar to be sent to a man named Vinesh Patel.
The police said that they had ordered Jatan’s drivers and the other three were accused under the provisions of the prohibition and also for counterfeiting and criminal conspiracy.
