Lisa Murkowski, who chose to punish Donald Trump in the trial of the Impeachment both and had repeatedly hit his head with the former president, announced Friday that he would run back.
Trump, who has focused his political efforts to punish his political opponents, supported Murkowski’s main opponents in June.
Kelly Tshibaka is the Alaska Administrative Department Commissioner before resigning to run into the Senate.
In July, the Central State Committee of the Republic of Alaska supported Tshibaka after Murkowski’s Meachment collection.
“My heart, and always there, in Alaska, and that is why I am proud to announce my campaign for re-election to the US Senate in 2022,” said Murkowski in a statement.
He stressed that he always made Alaska, industry and his people’s top priority.
Murkowski’s re-election offer will be watched strictly nationally as Trump seeks to bring down a senator whose name has a rich political history in the state.
His father, Frank Murkowski, is a former governor and a longtime senator u.s.
Murkowski has been in the US Senate since 2002, when his father chose him to complete his unsatisfied tenure after he was elected governor.
A Murkowski has represented Alaska in the Senate A.S.
Since 1981.
He has been against the Republican Party before.
Murkowski lost Primary GOP 2010, but then won the general election with a writing campaign against the Conservative Republic candidate.
Murkowski, often seen as a moderate independent-minded independent, is one of the seven Senator Republicans who chose to punish Trump, which was released from the alleged incitement of rebellion associated with Riot January 6 at the US Capitol.
He is the only one of seven shootings to face this year.
Murkowski was criticized by the Republic of Alaska in March for voting to punish Trump during the trial of the either of both.
But the National Republican Senatoria Committee supports Murkowski, placing its bets on tough petellings.
Tsyabaka has tried to take advantage of Trump’s popularity in the state, get the support of his allies and voiced the position of Trump, including the promotion of the fake theory of voter fraud in the 2020 election.
