Nagpur: It is a unique book release function, and perhaps the first-of-of-the ICU from the Multispecialty Hospital.
Author Subhashini Kukde, who likes to write a short story Marathi, was accepted in the ICU from a new Dande Hospital for severe lung failure.
The collection of short stories ‘your great mother’ was released at 9:30 a.m.
on Friday, and she exhaled her last hour at 2:30 a.m.
on Saturday.
The book, who was waiting for a formal release for almost a and a half years because Covid-19, was released by the State Congress of President Nana Patole, MLC Abhijit Wanjari and Mla Vikas Thakre.
Subhashini husband Madhukar Kukde, a senior senior activist and senior political related to the movement of Sanyucta Maharashtra, said it was his desire for the past months and “it proved to be his last hope”.
Kukde remembered how his wife dropped 18 floors while fighting a bad vision and poor lung capacity because of old age.
The book was ready to be released in January 2020.
“We had to postpone the event twice because of the first and second wave of Covid-19.
Meanwhile, Subhashini’s health deteriorated.
He underwent treatment at Dr.
Dande Hospital for the past two months,” Kukde said.
Dr.
Pinak Dande, who look after the patient for months, said Subhashini used to talk about the book whenever he could.
Subhashini was 79 and it was difficult for doctors to revive his damaged lungs.
“When I said this to her husband, he asked me to wait for time.
In the next two days, he contacted Nana Patole who agreed to release a book,” he said.
Patole, despite being busy before the MLC election and because of other political commitments, reaching Dande Hospital on Friday night.
“I know Madhukar Kukde personally.
I am willing to come early but the busy schedule prevents it.
Finally, we got around 9:30 p.m.
and released a book in the ICU.
It’s unique but a satisfying experience for me that I can do something for a colleague Senior, “Patole said.
There are no guests, no crowds but their functions are held with all formalities.
Greeting speech and thank you sound are also offered.
Subhashini, who was on the ICU bed, watched the whole event.
“He can’t talk anything.
But, we can see feelings of fulfillment in his eyes,” said Dr.
Dande.
Dr.
Dande said that around 11:30 a.m., almost two hours of this function, his health began to deteriorate quickly.
“Gradually, his organs began to fail, and at 2:30 a.m., he breathed his breath,” he said.
The Kukde family did the last ritual on Saturday.
