Bicholim: Massa, including social activists, gathered at the Bicholim police station demanding that more people be arrested in connection with the alleged rape case of a 15-year-old girl.
Bicholim PI Mahesh Gerekar assured them the arrest would be made within four days, after the minor victim’s statement was recorded.
Activists warned agitation if the police failed to track the defendant within four days.
Meanwhile, social activists gathered outside the Bicholim police station with a call given to social media by Shailendra Velakar, the son of the former Head of RSS Subhash Velasar, demanded to conversation with the victim before producing it to record his statement in July 9.
On June 25 , Police Bicholim has arrested Arman Khan, 19, from Bicholim, for raping a 15-year-old girl.
This case was revealed after the GMC authority told Bicholim’s police about finding a pregnant little girl when she was medically checked.
The incident had occurred more than six months ago.
Shailendra Velingkar, son of former Head of RSS Subhash Velasar, which is among the protesters, submitted a memorandum to the police who demanded that all involved in rape immediately ordered.
