New Delhi: The police have cleared a route where people protested alleged rape and murder of a nine-year-old girl in the old Nangal Village after the establishment of the Indian Army in Delhi Cantt here serving notifications to empty the area quoting security issues, officials said on Thursday.
The army has served notice to people and marked a copy of the letter to Police Delhi who asked him to remove the protesters from around the military / company unit to avoid security hazards.
The girl had died of a suspicious situation, with her parents accused her that she was raped and her body was forcibly cremated by the priest of the crematorium.
The girl’s parents along with hundreds of local residents had been sitting in the old Nangal Village in Southwest Delhi, demanding the death sentence for the perpetrators.
A senior police officer said the CarrieGeway was cleaned at the end of Wednesday night and an attempt was made to clean other parts of the road too.
In his communication to the police, the army said the protest could cause an unwanted unwanted incident or security hazard by considering future independence.
“You are asked to take the steps needed to clean the road and the protesters can be immediately removed to avoid unwanted security incidents that might hamper the functional function of the unit / defense establishment,” he said.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Chairman of the Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday also met the girl’s family.
