Hyderabad: A 30-year-old man on Thursday was arrested in Nizamabad District for allegedly attacking two small girls, both cousins, police said.
The defendant, a neighbor, lured the girls, eight and 10 years old, with the pretext of offering them chocolate when they played in front of their house on October 2 and took him to his house, where he was suspected of committing a crime, a senior officially police told PTI.
Family members of the victims filed a complaint to the police after the girls told them to them.
A case is registered in the relevant section of the protection of children from Act’s sexual violations (Pocso) and IPC and the defendant arrested.
In another incident, a middle-aged man was arrested for allegedly attacking two-year-old girls in the Nirmal District on October 4, police said.
The accusation had lured the toddler when he played in his area and took him to an isolated place.
He was then suspected of sexual abuse, they said based on the complaint submitted by the girl’s mother.
