Kaushambi: The case was registered against the couple after the court order in connection with a 16-year-old Dalit girl in a village in Kaushambi, said the police said Sunday.
According to complaints submitted at the Paschim Sareera police station by the victim’s mother, the woman accused of taking her and handed it to her husband on January 14 this year.
The man who was accused of raping the girl in front of his wife, and also threatened the family of terrible consequences, if they filed a complaint, police said.
The girl said that when the police did not take any action, she moved to court.
Sarvesh Singh Station House Officer said that with a court order, a case was registered on Saturday against the defendant’s couple, and the girl was sent for medical examinations.
He added that the incident was examined, and efforts to capture the couples accused.
