NEW DELHI: In a surprise twist of events, Chirag Paswan, the president of Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) based on his daddy Ram Vilas Paswan, was on Monday unceremoniusly unseated because the chief of this party in Lok Sabha.
Chirag, that took on the mantle of their celebration in 2020 following the departure of Ram Vilas Paswan, stood entirely isolated on top in his party.
Five of these six members of Parliament of their LJP revolted against Chirag within an overnight coup and chosen Pashupati Kumar Paras, his uncle, since the new chief of this party in Lok Sabha.
Besides Pashupati Paras, the rebel team comprises Chirag’s cousin Prince Raj, Chandan Singh, Veena Devi along with Mehboob Ali Kaiser.
The team has met Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to notify him regarding the fluctuations in the celebration.
In the forthcoming days, the rebels may stake claim in the Election Commission to symbolize the actual LJP and might also go to oust Chirag in the top party place.
