Lucknow: Doctor Ram Manohar 31-year-old Institute of Medical (RMLIM), Dr.
Sharda Suman, who has struggled for more than two months, will be flown to KIMS, Hyderabad, on Sunday for lung transplant surgery.
The decision has been taken after Hyderabad Hospital, which has expertise in lung transplants, gives green signals to requests made by rmlims.
RT-PCR mandatory tests are needed before shifting also out to be negative on Saturday.
A team of experts from KimS arrived at Lucknow Saturday night night for a pre-transplant assessment.
“The team will examine the doctor at 7 in the morning on Sunday before taking it to the airport with an ambulance of advanced life support at 9am.
From there, he will be flown to Hyderabad by an air ambulance,” said Spokesman Dr.
Srikesh Singh.
The doctor is currently on the ECMO engine (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) that pumps and oxenates the blood of patients outside the body, allowing the heart and lungs to rest.
“ECMO support will be maintained throughout the trip.
After reaching KIMS, it will be first stabilized after which test will be done to assess its vitals and match compatibility with Cadveric organs to be used for replacement,” he added.
On July 6, the government has sanctioned RS 1.5 Crore in the direction of CM Yogi Adityanath for lung transplants.
