By Adeeb Walter Lucknow: District Collectorate witnessed a heavy rush on Thursday, the last day of the nomination submission for the nine assembly constituencies in Lucknow with 67 candidates, including some of their Bigwigs.
While many candidates come in small groups, some come with several supporters who violate the Covid protocol and have upheaval with the police.
Former Director Joint Director of the Rajeshwar Singh Enforcement Directorate who submitted a nomination from the Sarojininagar seat was the center of attraction.
He was escorted by Deputy Chief Minister Dinsh Sharma and Minister of Mahendra Singh.
Sister Elder Rajeshwar Abha Singh, a former finalist of the civilian parade and Toi’s Lead India, was also present.
As a provincial police service officer, Singh has served in Lucknow for some time during a 24-year career.
Rajeshwar beamed arrived with a bouquet of flowers around his neck and tilated on his forehead.

Other BJP candidates who submitted their papers including Yogesh Shukla from Bakshi Ka Talab, Anjani Kumar Srivastava from Lucknow West, Rajneesh Kumar Gupta from Lucknow Central and Amresh Kumar from Mohanlaganj ordered a chair.
Ravidas Mehrotra Party Samajwadi submitted a nomination for Lucknow Central.
Firebrand Young Leader Pooja Shukla, who tried luck in the election for the first time, submitted a nomination for Lucknow North.
He had shot fame after showing a black flag to CM Yogi Adiviyath during his visit to Lucknow University a few years ago.
Among the other SP candidates, former MP Sushila Saroj submitted a nomination for Mohanlalangj, Surendra Kumar for Malihabad and Surendra Singh Gandhi from the Cantonment.
Former President of the Union of Lucknow University of Manoj Tiwari, is now a lawyer, submit a nomination for Lucknow East on Congress tickets.
He was escorted by a number of lawyers and the police had difficulty controlling them.
Indal Kumar candidate congress submitted a nomination from MaluAbad and Mamta Chaudhary from Mohanlalangj.
Sit SP MLA from Mohanlalangj Ambrish Singh Pushkar submitted a nomination as independent after being rejected by a ticket by the party this time.
Former MLA and Minister of Sharda Prasad Shukla also submitted a nomination as an independent candidate from Sarojininagar.
