Lucknow: The apartment under the construction of the former MP MP Party Bahujan Samaj, Daud Ahmad at Lucknow’s River Bank Colony was excavated by the Lucknow development authority on Sunday for violations of the norm.
The action came after the objection from the Indian archaeological survey because the apartment was being built near the monument protected by ASI – The Residency.
In March, Lda has destroyed the fifth floor of the apartment with the reason that has approved the building for only four floors.
The building appeared in a 3,600 square foot area.
On June 24, ASI has presented a notification to the former MP after he failed to destroy the building.
Then, the ASI moved the court ordered the demolition of the building.
“David was given enough time to destroy Structure’dud Ahmad given enough time to undermine the structure but he did not, therefore, Lda destroyed it,” said an ASI official.
“Comply with order, the structure is destroyed on Sunday,” said DM Abishek Prakash.
On Saturday, DM and Deputy Lda Abhishek Prakash issued a new direction to identify illegal housing colonies and the upload list on the Lda website besides sticking it in the registry office to remind the buyer of the house.
