Local Blok Office Gherrao for reopening elementary school

Ranchi: Hundreds of their Gherao students and parents, the Manika Block Office in Lowerhar on Friday demanded the reopening of elementary school in Jharkhand.
Physical class elementary school in the state is still closed for almost two years that creates problems for students who do not have access to smartphones because they cannot attend online classes, especially in remote areas such as Manika where very few children can present online classes for lack Gadgets and internet connectivity are poor.
Gherrao Friday held by the Gram Swaraj Mazdoor Sangh (GSMS), which is a local organization of rural workers, to mark the day of international human rights.
“If crowding is allowed on the market, weddings and even cricket stadiums, why does the school close?” One of the question protesters asked.
GSM member Somwati Devi, who came from the village of Sadhwadih, claimed, “This is a plot of poor people.
Great people want us to stay illiterate so we continue to work for a little in the fields and their homes.” The protesters, then , handed over a memorandum, aimed at the governor, where they looked for the intervention and urged him to ask the government to return to the class.
“Under Section 244 (1) Constitution, you are the highest administrator in the area scheduled and therefore, we encourage you to direct the state government to open elementary schools from direct effects,” read memorandum.
Memorandum even ask for its intervention relating to the protection of human rights in remote countries’ in the country where the police harassed the local population on behalf of Administration ” Neighbors Daltonganj.
Before Gheroo, GSM conducted village-to-village campaigns where volunteers of clothing found that most children in the primary age group could not read even simple sentences.
This is consistent with the findings of children and offline online learning surveys (schools ), which was carried out in 15 states earlier this year.
The survey found that, among poor rural families, only 25% of children registered in class 3 can read simple sentences.
