Local officials to decide on school closure

Shrinivasa.mmysuru: In policy shift, the State Education Department has decided to allow local officials to make decisions about school closure.
It comes after a complaint that the government takes the Bengaluru-Centric approach in connection with the Covid sidewalk.
Now, every decision about the closure of the school will be taken based on the situation at the number.
“We have decided to consider Taluks as a unit.
DCS and Tahsildar are empowered to make decisions about the closing of the school,” Minister of Basic Education BC Nagesh told TII.
