Mumbai: Maharashtra President BJP Chandrakant Patil on Wednesday claimed that his party had emerged as the only biggest political power in the state and could lead 24 Panchayats Nagar.
Speaking to reporters in Mumbai, Patil claims that BJP has so far won more than 400 seats in the recent election held for 106 Panchayats Nagar in the state.
“The selection is held for 106 Panchayats Nagar in the state, where BJP has won more than 400 seats so far.
We are in a strong position to lead 24 local bodies and we need support from several corporators to claim shares in six other cities,” Said senior leader said.
Even though it didn’t come to power in the state for almost 26 months, BJP had managed to record such success, he said.
“It shows that the network of party workers and local leaders we can provide good results without the support of the strength or government resources.
Shiv Sena received the position of minister’s head, but struggled to remain in third or fourth position in this election,” Patil said.
“The Chairman of the Minister of Uddhav Thackeray seems to be satisfied with his position.
He cares less for his party leaders or parties, because they lose land throughout the state.
This situation has benefited NCP,” he said.
BJP leader increasingly claimed that dissatisfaction among the leaders of Maha Vikas Aghadi was seen, and therefore they suffered in this local poll.
“BJP has benefited to a certain extent.
Some of our leaders will hold meetings in various parts of the country for introspection,” he said.
The party will hold a meeting in all districts in front of the general election of up to 20 city companies and 282 local bodies in the next two months, Patil said.
Former Minister of State and BJP leader of the Bed District Pankaja said, “The MVA government flip in the OBC quota ahead of this poll made people disappointing.
The three parties experienced a setback because they did not fight strongly for OBC.
Even though it did not have an official quota For OBC, BJP provides tickets to leaders from the community, which benefits us in polls.
