Mumbai: Towards the reopening of the local train for those who are fully vaccinated on August 15, the state government has discussed the SOP that allows only the monthly season to be released for them.
Single ticket / return or through a longer duration will not be issued.
Also, while the portal for the embedded pass QR code is still put together, the offline verification table will be arranged at 109 stations in MMR from August 11.
Of this August, 358 counters will be set at 53 stations within the boundaries of Mumbai.
This counter will operate from 7am to 11pm every day, and will be run by local civil bodies.
In accordance with BMC, citizens who have completed 14 days after the second dose must carry a hard copy of the final vaccination certificate and original photo ID (preferably aadhaar card) to verify together with a copy of ID.
After the desk help verifies the vaccination status, they will smoke the vaccine certificate and photocopy of ID.
This must be equipped when buying a monthly season ticket from the booking counter.
“Tourists must bring the three documents – monthly passes, a captured vaccination certificate and copy of the photo ID while traveling,” said an official.
“This offline process publishes the monthly season trajectory will continue on seven days a week until the order further and therefore residents do not need to rush to the train station,” said BMC Iqbal Singh Chahal commissioner.
“The government starts the train because of the difficulties faced by classes Workers in reaching their workplaces.
The idea behind only provides monthly feeds is to prevent people who want to travel unnecessarily, “said a senior official.
There were nearly 24 lakh people from MMR which were fully vaccinated on Monday, but less than 20 lakh would finish 14 days to be eligible for traveling.

“There will be a monthly review by the state regarding the number of cases reported since the start of service and periodic decisions to continue with the monthly pass issuance will be taken based on the Covid-19 situation,” said a senior official.
The online portal that is being put together and associated with Cowin for verification will require a few more days to be functional.
Officials say SOP has been set only for the general public.
Other categories that have been allowed to take local trains such as health workers, government staff and frontline workers can continue to run vel according to procedures, use their ID cards, and can get tickets every day.
The government expects all passengers to enter the train to screen for relevant documents at least until August 31, after that the police can turn to random checks.
Checks outside the station will be carried out by state police and government train police and on the train by the train staff.
“Assistance from the local police will be sought for several days until the process is efficient,” said an official (with input by Manthan K Mehta)
