Coimbatore: Coimbatore City Police plan to deploy 700 police to implement a single day of one day on Sunday effectively.
City police apply at night at night – 5 in the morning in an effective way announced by the Tamil Nadu government (other than the total lock on Sunday) to control the spread of Covid-19.
Police Commissioner Pradip Kumar asked people not to come to unnecessary streets.
He warned strict action against people found on the road without a legitimate reason.
He added that people came out for medical emergencies and those who went to the bus terminal, the train station and the airport would be allowed to continue.
“We will allow people with sincere reasons,” said Pradip Kumar to Ti.
He added that the enforcement would not be abuse.
“We asked people not to come to the streets on Sundays.
Otherwise, our police will take a tight action including the foreclosure of the vehicle.
The government has implemented locking to contain the spread of Covid.

“We have 44 two-wheeled patrol teams and 23 four-wheel patrol teams.

“We have registered 1,592 cases in the last two days (5 & 6 January) for violating covid norms and collecting a total fine of Rs 2,15,800 from the public.

If not, the police will register the case and will collect fines from them.
“After registering a case because it was not wearing a mask, the police would give the mask to the people who stopped because they did not wear a mask,” Pradip Kumar said.
