ITANAGAR: The Arunachal Pradesh government on Friday decided to expand the lockdown in seven districts until June 7 after a spike in Covid-19 instances, senior officials said.
The lockdown from the Itanagar capital area, Tawang, Lower Subansiri, Namsai, Upper Subansiri, Lohit, and also Anjaw districts had been to finish on May 31.

Measures have been taken to make 1,000 oxygen beds from July, aside from updating both 100 litres per minute (LPM) PSA plants from Ziro, Tawang, Tezu, Yingkiong, Seppa, along with Aalo.
The assembly agreed to create the 500 LPM Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) oxygen functional in the Committed Covid Hospital (DCH) at Chimpu, close here, besides establishing 600 LPM plants at 19 hospitals and accepted liquid chemical oxygen (LMO) storage components at five strategic places.
