The government told people in areas with Chinese capital which was considered high-risk for infection not to leave the city after 25 cases found in Fengtai Regency and 14 elsewhere.
On Sunday, Fengtai residents marched on the sidewalk covered in snow in frozen weather for testing.
The Olympics were held under strict controls intended to isolate athletes, staff, journalists and officials from the outside world.
Athletes are required to be vaccinated or undergo quarantine after arriving in China.
Other outbreaks encourage the government to impose travel prohibitions in a number of cities, including the port of Tianjin, about one hour from Beijing.
Rigid regulations are credited by preventing large national and Chinese outbreaks to report relatively few very contagious omicron variants.
China on Monday reported only 18 new cases of local infections, including six in Beijing.
The country has 2,754 cases of current infection and has reported a total of 105,660 cases of Covid-19 with 4,636 deaths.
