Ahmedabad: Seventeen years ago, Gomes d’Souza was allegedly looted 41 kg of silver from the house of an employee of jewelry in Navrangpura.
He escaped to Goa where he started catching fish and running a business.
But, as fate would have it, his crimes caught up with him when the 42-year-old player decided to visit his sister in Ahmedabad and got stuck here because of the increase in cases Covid.
