Kolkata: At least two departments at the University of Jadavpur reported the main theft, believed to have occurred in the last 16 months when the campus was closed to check the spread of the Coronavirus novel.
While theft in the land lab in the Department of Civil Engineering was found on Wednesday, that in the Bengali Department reported to detect some time before.
Police at Jadavpur police station said the investigation had begun.
DC (SSD) Rashid Munir Khan said, “Two computers are lost from the civil engineering lab.” An investigative officer said, “We will talk to the administration.

In the lab, all equipment was destroyed and thrown.
Some brass parts of the equipment were lost.
I asked the head of the department to file a complaint.

The police suspected the two theft did not occur on the same day.

“Narcotics addicts usually steal expensive metallic objects to sell it quickly.
