Logistics firm on police radar because it doesn’t provide a customer’s car

Gurgaon: A logistics company took a car from Gurgaon but, then, began demanding more money from the car owner to send it to his destination.
Even after additional payments, the company has not sent a car.
K Jeykumar, resident of South City 2, gets a logistics company details through online search.
He involves the company to send Hyundai i10 from Gurgaon to Madurai in Tamil Nadu on November 11.
“After the discussion, the company sent an invoice on WhatsApp and asked for payment.
After payment was successful, someone came to my house to pick up the car.
After submission, I received a call from Lalit Sharma, who began to demand more money to transport my car,” said Jeykumar .
Jeykumar then made additional payments but had not got the car.
“I paid Rs 16,500 for the first invoice and Rs 4950 for the second invoice.
After paying the total number of Rs 21,500, I still haven’t received my car,” Jeykumar added.
He also accused him of receiving a threatening call, with the company said it would not hand over his car again.
Based on his complaint, the police had registered a case in the 50 police station under the IPC 384 (extortion) and 406 (fraud).
Inspector Rahul Dev, Station House Officer (SHO), the Sector Police Office 50, said that the police contacted the suspects, who convinced them that they would return the car and money.
The suspects also promised to reach the police station but then turned off their cellphones.
